Call for Entries: Characters, Letters & Art Design

Do you love typography, calligraphy, or hand-lettering? Are you interesting in the interplay of art, design, and language? After a successful print exchange organized by the GMU Confucius Institute (and its subsequent display at the Arts by George! event), the Institute is again seeking submissions, this time for a show with a related theme. Characters, Letters & Art Design will broadly explore the interaction between art and language through the usage of Chinese characters and/or English letters.

Artists may submit up to two works, each sized between 11″ x 17″ and 20″ x 24″. Entries are due November 20, 2014. More details—and a submission form—can be found here.
